Join First Settlers Region for a morning of giving back to our community at the Foodbank of
Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore.
We will begin with a hands on volunteer shift helping pack food bags and boxes for local families in need, followed by a behind the scenes tour of the Foodbank to learn more about the incredible impact they have throughout our region. Afterward, everyone is invited to continue the fellowship over lunch at Wasserhund Brewing Co. (pay on your own).

9:00 - 11:00 AM: Volunteer Shift (Youth & Family Bag/Box Packing)
11:00 - 11:45 AM: Foodbank Tour
12:00 PM: Lunch at Wasserhund Brewing Co. (reserved seating, pay your own)

Volunteer Information
Working alongside other volunteers in an assembly-line setting, we will help pack bags and boxes of nonperishable food that will be distributed to neighbors throughout our community.
Tasks may include assembling boxes, packing food, restocking supplies, sealing bags, and stacking completed boxes.
Who Can Participate?
Limited to 20 FSR participants
Volunteers must be 6 years of age or older
Children ages 6-15 must volunteer with a registered parent or guardian
What to Wear / Bring
Comfortable clothing
Closed-toe shoes are required
Water will be provided
No food is permitted in the warehouse
Personal water bottles with a closed lid are welcome
