Waynesboro “Mountain Frolic” Weekend – Imagined by Ed Merry

 

Join your First Settlers friends and fellow Porsche enthusiasts for a weekend of driving twisty mountain roads, enjoying the views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and sharing two planned meals together. The event will take place during the weekend of June 12-14.

 

Our central location will be the Holiday Inn Express in Waynesboro Va. located at 108 Chicurel Lane. Arrangements have been made for 20 rooms at reduced rates for our group if reservations are made by May 12. The hotel can be contacted by calling 540-221-4258. When calling to make reservations, give them your arrival date and Group Code SKA. Our group is First Settlers Region PCA. Our rates will be $139 plus tax per night for two Queen beds or one King bed. These rates represent an approximate $60 per night savings over the standard rates. Everyone is responsible for making their own hotel reservations and payments.

 

Participants can begin arriving at the hotel on Friday evening, June 12, between 6:00 and 9:00 PM for check-in and registration. Saturday’s drive will feature a lunch stop at High’s Restaurant in Monterey, Va and will conclude back at the Holiday Inn Express in Waynesboro.

 

Sunday’s route will again start at the hotel but end at the home of Tom Godfrey in Nellysford Va where we will have a catered lunch from the famous Mac’s Country Store.

 

Due to space limitations registration will be held to 30 cars. Registration priority will be given to members registering for both drives and the lunch. Registration is now open so sign up early and note the hotel deadline for the reduced rate.
